J&K cancer specialist to head ISCO

Jammu, July 5 : Indian Society of Clinical Oncology ( ISCO) has nominated Dr Deepak Abrol Cancer Specialist from J&K as Chair of Cancer Awareness and Advocacy Committee.
As per Communique issued by office of Honorary Secretary General of ISCO, Dr Abrol has been nominated based on his services to Cancer Patients, Survivors, Care givers and Awareness activities in General population.
ISCO is working for cancer care and Awareness and is having about 2000 members across the Globe and about 5000 student volunteers.
This Committee is being formed to minimize disparities and inequalities with best possible care and outcomes in cancer patients. There will be five Oncologists from all over India in the Committee and Two overseas Advisors. Committee will also formulate innovative campaigns to educate people about various aspects of cancer to ensure Cancer prevention and early detection.
Pertinent to mention that Dr Deepak Abrol is General Secretary of Association of Radiation Oncologists of India North Zone Chapter as well as Founder of LBN ROH a Cancer Care Foundation Trust. He is also Founding Editor of The Integrated Indian Journal of Cancer Sciences.
