J&K branch of ICAI awarded as best branch

Representatives of J&K branch of ICAI receiving prestigious award in New Delhi.

NEW DELHI, Feb 26: J&K branch of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) was conferred with the award for the highly commended branch in northern region for year 2018.
CA BR Maheshwari, former President of ICAI presented the award to CA Ajay Kumar Gupta (Chairman), CA Shalay Razdan (Vice-Chairman), CA Anish Abrol (Secretary) and CA Jatinder Jaswal (Treasurer) for ”Highly Commended Branch (Small/Micro)” for the Year 2018-19 out of 16 branches of NIRC at an annual award function organized at Hotel The Park, 15, Sansad Marg, Hanuman Road Area, Connaught Place, here.
Central Council Members, Office bearers and Executive members of Northern India Regional Council were also present at the Annual Prize Distribution function along with a host of Chartered Accountants & CA students.
The award is presented annually to the best performing branches of ICAI across all regions taking into consideration various parameters of excellence in performance. Under the chairmanship of CA Ajay Kumar Gupta, the branch successfully conducted numerous continuing professional education programs and workshops where eminent speakers participated from all over the country.
Senior Chartered Accountants of the Branch were felicitated to recognise their professional contribution.
Various activities for students of chartered accountancy were undertaken.
It is pertinent to mention here that J&K Branch of ICAI has been consistently awarded for its performance during last three years.
