JK Bank is public authority

Sir,
I am sending this letter vis a vis the column published in Daily Excelsior on 14th November wherein the columnist Dr Muzaffar raised some valuable points which makes it clear that Jammu & Kashmir Bank is a Public Authority. Even Information Commission has also declared that JK Bank is a public authority.  JK Bank is run by people of Jammu and Kashmir state and if the state subjects don’t have the right to information about the functioning of this bank, it is then a very strange issue and a matter of grave concern as well. If we can seek information under RTI Act from semi Government organizations , and other banks like SBI, RBI etc why cannot we have the right to seek information from J&K Bank ? I think some corrupt officials in J&K Bank are afraid of being accountable to people as many scams could get exposed. J&K Bank is our bank and we should have access to Information about this bank. I hope Chairman & CEO of J&K Bank who is considered to be an upright person should think over this issue with utmost sincerity.
Yours etc…
