SRINAGAR, Mar 28: To provide world class banking facilities to the people at their door-steps, J&K Bank commissioned three Business Units (B.U) and six ATMs in the Valley.
The Bank dedicated three state-of-the-art Business Units to the people in far flung areas of district Kupwara at Devar, Tarathpora and Halmatpora.
DDC Kupwara Itrat Hussain Rafiqui inaugurated the BUs at Devar and Tarathpora while as the Bank’s Zonal Head (North) MS Kaboo dedicated the BU at Helmatpora to people amid gathering of traders, valuable customers and local residents. Cluster Head Fayaz Ahmad was also present.
DDC Kupwara urged the people to avail benefits of the products and services offered by the bank.
The total number of business units in the district reached 34 taking the number to 97 in Kashmir’s north zone.
Meanwhile, Zonal Head inaugurated an ATM at Arampora, Kupwara thereby taking the total number of ATMs to 93 in Kashmir’s north zone.
The bank’s Vice-President and Zonal Head Mushtaq Ahmad Mir inaugurated the Teller Machines at Yaripora in Kulgam and Nanil in Anantnag amid gathering of valuable customers, citizens, businessmen and other local residents.
The ATM at Court Complex Anantnag was inaugurated by the Principal and District Session Judge Anantnag Malik Abdul Rashid in presence of senior functionaries of Bar Association Anantnag, lawyers, judicial authorities and public.
Principal Degree College Anantnag Prof Peerzada Mohd Yousuf inaugurated the ATM in the college campus for boys, while as the ATM at Degree College for Women Anantnag was inaugurated by Principal GR Wani in presence of the bank’s Zonal Head Mushtaq Ahmad and Cluster Heads Tasaduq Hussain and Manzoor Ahmad Attar.
Speaking on the occasion, Zonal Head assured that many programmes would be organized for helping the student community to understand the role of banks in bringing about the socio economic development of the State.
With these 5 ATMs the total number of machines in the zone reached 110.
