J&K Bank holds DLRC, DCC meetings

SRINAGAR, Jan 20: J&K Bank conducted District Level Review Committee (DLRC) and District Consultative Committee (DCC) meetings to review achievements of various banks working in Ganderbal district for the quarters ending June and September 2020 vis-à-vis Annual District Plan 2020-21.
District Development Commissioner Ganderbal Shafqat Iqbal, who is also the chairman of committees, chaired both the meetings in presence of Zonal Head J&K Bank Kashmir (Central II) Syed Shujaat Hussain Andrabi, CPO Ganderbal Irfan Ahmad, Lead District Manager Ganderbal Nissar Ahmad Bhat, DDM NABARD, Director RSETI, Ganderbal, District Coordinators of Banks, and District Officers of Line Departments.
The DDC Ganderbal took stock of progress and achievements made by the banks in the implementation of the various Government sponsored schemes.
Giving detailed summary of the achievements for the Half Year September 2020, LDM Ganderbal informed the house that all the banks in the district have disbursed Rs. 252.62 crores to 12660 beneficiaries against the yearly targets of Rs.750.01 crores thus achieving 34 per cent of district credit plan of 2020-21.
“Priority Sector lending saw disbursement of Rs. 130.72 crores while Rs 121.90 crores were disbursed in Non-Priority Sector lending during the first half of the FY 2020-21. The total deposits of the district have increased from Rs 1404.19 crores as on 30.09.2019 to Rs 1589.66 crores on 30.09.2020 witnessing a growth of 13.21 per cent on YOY basis while advances have increased from Rs 1013.98 crores as on 30.09.2019 to Rs. 1220.13 crores on 30.09.2020 registering a growth of 20.33 per cent on YOY basis. The CD Ratio of the district stood at 77 per cent as on 30.09.2020,” LDM told the house.
Speaking on the occasion, Chairman DLRC Shafaqat Iqbal advised the banks and line departments to clear long pending cases at business units and ensure 100 per cent coverage of all farm operating families under KCC Scheme before the end of March 2021. The chair also directed all the banks and line departments to conduct awareness programs at village, block and panchayat levels to increase awareness among the people about social security schemes and other developmental programs of the Government.
In response to various queries raised in the meeting, Zonal Head Syed Shujaat Hussain Andrabi informed that J&K Bank is committed towards 100 per cent financial inclusion of the district.
