Srinagar, Dec 1: J&K Bank today donated 25 computer systems and books to Government Higher Secondary School Kapran, Shopian.
The Bank’s Executive President Parvez Ahmad inaugurated the computer lab and library section in presence of Chief Education Officer (CEO) Abdul Hamid Kumar, Principal Nissar Ahmad Malik, Zonal Head Mushtaq Ahmad Mir and Cluster Head Javeed Ahmad Bhat.
The function held within the school premises was attended by a large gathering of students, staff, senior citizens and local residents.
Speaking on the occasion, Parvez Ahmad said, “it is moment of delight for me to fulfill the promise made by our Chairman and CEO Mushtaq Ahmad during the inaugural ceremony of Kapran B.U. These assets would contribute to the overall development of this area in the longer run. ”
He suggested the school authorities to identify downtrodden and under-privileged children of the area and impart short-term courses in IT to them so that the benefits of these facilities are shared among a larger section of society in and around the Kapran area.
