NEW DELHI, June 8: Jammu and Kashmir has received an award on being adjudged as best performing State in the field of Rural Self Employment and Training Institutes (RSETI) movement.
Rural Self Employment and Training Institutes (RSETI) impart skills to youth, thereby enabling a trainee to take bank credit and start his/her own micro-enterprise. The J&K at present has 21 functional RSETIs which are effectively providing training and helping the budding entrepreneurs.
The award was received by Commissioner Secretary Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Nirmal Sharma at the 4th RSETI Diwas celebrated to recognize outstanding performance of RSETIs in various states at Vigyan Bhawan New Delhi
The 4th RSETI Diwas celebration was chaired by Narendra Singh Tomar, Union Minister, Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, Drinking Water and Sanitation. Among others Dr Santosh Kumar Gangwar, Minister of State for Finance,
Ram Kirpal Yadav, Minister of State for Rural Development and co chairman NLACR Dr D Veerendra Heggade, also participated in the event.
