JAMMU, June 22: Vigilance Organization Jammu today booked the then Junior Engineer of Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA), district Doda and others.
A case FIR Number 18/2018, under Section 5(1) (d) r/w section 5(2) J&K PC Act and 120-B RPC has been registered in PS VOJ against Mubashar Ahmed, then JE SSA district Doda, son of Abdul Karim Rishu of Shangroo, Tehsil Bhalla, district Doda and beneficiary contractor Romesh Kumar son of Pramu Bhagat of village Gun Panchayat Loga Behota, Tehsil Goha Marmat and others.
The FIR was registered on the basis of a verification conducted by Vigilance Organization UDKR wing into the allegations that the building of Government Middle School Mohra Gun-Behota, which has been upgraded from upper Primary School, was being constructed in violation of SSA norms, specifications and guidelines, besides change in the proposed site plan, sub-standard material being used and the construction being furthered on plinth of very low level etc.
The construction of said school building was raised during the period 2010-2014 upto plinth level only whereas an amount of Rs 1,90,000 has been disbursed in favour of the contractor.
