JD(S) expresses concern over damage caused by rains, snowfall

JAMMU, Mar 18: Janta Dal (Secular) has expressed serious concern over the huge damage caused by heavy rains, hail storms and snowfall to the crops.
In the State executive meeting held at Party Headquarters, here today, the State party president, Mast Nath Yogi, demanded the Government to immediately restore networks and give cash relief to the sufferers.
The meeting also expressed concern over the big land scam under Roshni Act, due to which public exchequer sustained a loss of over Rs 25000 crore. The participants demanded a CBI enquiry into the matter to find out the facts and fix the culprits.
Yogi also demanded an independent inquiry over the death of a person in Bhaderwah, reportedly due to delay in medical cover. He demanded the Government to find out the facts and fix responsibility by holding independent inquiry in the matter.
Meanwhile, it was also decided that party will contest upcoming Parliamentary elections for which the candidates will be announced shortly after consultations.
