JAMMU, Oct 16: Jammu Development Authority (JDA) has started verification of land leased out to the Ashram of Asaram Bapu at Bhagwati Nagar.
Vice-Chairman of Jammu Development Authority, Kuldeep Raj Khajuria said that keeping in view the allegations from certain quarters that Asaram Bapu’s Ashram has encroached upon the JDA land at Bhagwati Nagar, engineers of the Authority have been directed to carry out verification on ground and submit report within shortest possible time.
“Actually, the JDA had leased out 283 kanal of land to the Ashram and now the engineers have been directed to ascertain the actual land under the control of Ashram with the help of Total Station system whereby latest equipment are used”, he said.
