JDA removes un-authorised structures at Roop Nagar

JAMMU, Feb 13: JDA removed un-authorised  structures and retrieved valuable lands at  Roop Nagar, today.
In a day long demolition operation was conducted and JDA retrieved 5 kanals of precious  land at Aap Shamboo Road opposite Sector No.2 Roop Nagar and near KCS College opposite EWS Colony, as per the direction of Vice Chairman, Jammu Development Authority  Kuldip Lal Khajuria.
A team headed by Chief Khilafwarzi Officer and his field staff under the supervision of Director Land Management launched demolition operation and removed the plinth of approximately 3 kanals raised over the JDA land in village Paloura Khasra No.518/1.
The material dumped on the JDA land was also destroyed and JDA signboards were installed.
The encroachers has been repeatedly attempting to grab the JDA land under the pretext of some fake revenue documents of Khasra No.517, whereas the said portion of land falls in Khasra No.518/1 which is a pure JDA land.
The said encroacher is reported to have sold the land on fake documents, who are attempting to grab the JDA land forcefully. Earlier, twice the encroachment stands removed from the same portion of JDA.
Moreover, a FIR also stands registered against the encroacher in Police Station, Janipura vide No.JDA/The/A/398-401 dated 11/11/2013 by Tehsildar JDA Zone (A).
In another operation near KCS College opposite EWS Colony Roop Nagar, approximately 2 kanals of JDA land was also retrieved from the encroachers at village Paloura Khasra No.346, where a wooden khokha was demolished and fencing over JDA land was removed despite resistance by the women of the locality.
In the day long operation, SHO Hilal. M Azhar and Sub Inspector Rahul Mahajan and Lady Police under overall supervision of SSP, Jammu and SP, North extended full cooperation and desisted the resistance of women who were creating law and order problems over removing the encroachments and fencings.
