JAMMU, Dec 14: Taking the cognizance against the encroachers, the enforcement wing of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) on the directions of Vice Chairman, Mubarak Singh, launched an anti-encroachment drive.
During the drive, 50 kanals of land at village Birpur, 10 Marlas of land at village Patoli Mangotrian and partial compound wall and structure were removed today.
The anti-encroachment drive was conducted by a team headed by Gurvinder Jeet Singh, Director Land Management and accompanied by Narinder Singh Chief Khilafwarzi Officer, Ashraf Parvez Tehsildar JDA Zone (B), Balbir Singh, Girdhari Lal, Naresh Kumar, Madan Lal, Sunil Kumar Nanda, Rajinder Singh Choudhary, Ramesh Kumar, Booti Singh Khilafwarzi Inspector and Patwaris of JDA.
However, encroachment at Birpur over 50 kanals of land where compound walls was raised upto 4 feet level was dismantled by the field staff of JDA, whereas encroachment on 10 marlas of JDA precious land at Patoli Mangotrian where compound wall was also raised during odd hours was removed.
In case of Indra Colony Janipur, partial compound wall, shuttering and structure were removed during the day long anti-encroachment drive.
