JAMMU, Nov 5: An employee of Jammu Development Authority (JDA) was killed today in a road mishap at Nagrota area of city outskirts.
According to a police spokesperson, the man identified as Inder Singh (45) son of Amar Singh of Reasi (at present Nagrota), was going on his scooter bearing registration No JK02Q-5362, when an Army vehicle coming from opposite side hit his two-wheeler on Jammu-Katra National Highway near 16 Corps Headquarter.
In the mishap, which occurred around 7.30pm tonight, Inder Singh received serious injurious. He was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The body of the deceased was shifted to mortuary room of the hospital while a case in this connection was registered at police station Nagrota and further investigations started.
