JAMMU, May 13: Enforcement wing of JDA during anti-encroachment drive removed two wooden structures raised on JDA land at Qasim Nagar Colony adjoining Nallah today.
The residents of the area have been requesting for developing a park in the area.
Enforcement wing comprising of Narinder Singh Khilafwarzi Officer, Sunil Kumar Nanda, Rajinder Singh Choudhary, Parshotam Kumar, Romesh Kumar, Tarsem Lal Khilafwarzi Inspectors and field staff launched the anti-encroachment drive.
There was strong resistance from the encroachers and their supporters, who were bent upon to grab the land by resorting to violence.
SHO, Bagh-e-Bahu Jasbir Singh provided police assistance and maintained law and order.
Besides, this two khokha being raised on JDA land at EWS colony Roop Nagar and two more structures on JDA land at Khanpur were also removed.
