JCP celebrates World Physiotherapy Day

JAMMU, Sept 8: To celebrate World Physiotherapy Day, a seminar on “Role of Exercise in Chronic Pain” was organized today in Jammu College of Physiotherapy (JCP).
The seminar was attended by faculty and students. Purpose of the seminar was to increase awareness regarding the various aspects of chronic pain and how physiotherapy can be fruitful to patients with chronic pain.
Also present on the occasion was Dr Navinderpal, Principal JCP, who in his address, touched upon the importance of mental well being in chronic pain.
Meanwhile, the College organized free physiotherapy awareness cum treatment camp at Panj Mandir, Channi Himmat. A team of doctors comprised of Dr Gagandeep, Dr Pooja and Dr Neeru examined various patients with muscular, skeletal, neurological and pediatric problems and provided them with free treatment.
Later on a group session was organized for the awareness of general public where in people were made aware about benefits of proper posture and physical fitness.
