JCMS urges Govt to shift Kallethian quarantine center to suitable place

JAMMU, May 21: Alleging lack of proper entry and other essential facilities in quarantine center established in Mohalla Kallethian in Jammu City, Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha (JCMS) has demanded to shift it to a better and suitable place.
“Treatment of COVID-19 affected persons in the quarantine centers is a very sensitive issue but it has been observed that proper mind has not been applied in the selection of building for qurantine centre in Mohalla Kallethian of Jammu city,” said Romesh Chander Gupta, president, JCMS.
He alleged that the center does not posses proper and convenient entry approach due to narrow and congested lane and also lack other essential facilities. He said they brought the matter into the notice of the concerned immediate authority verbally and urged them to shift centre to a better place but their request fell in the deaf ears of the functionaries.
“Instead of getting proper treatment here in this quarantine center, the patients are likely to face aggravated situation,” Gupta said and further alleged that the police officials deputed there are also very rude in dealing with the family care takers of the quarantined people.
The JCMS president appealed Lt Governor of J&K G C Murmu kindly to look into the matter and shift the Kallethian quarantine centre to a better place so that proper justice is done to the people kept in that quarantine centre.
