JAMMU, Nov 5: A deputation of Jammu Chamber of Commerce and Industries (JCCI) led by its Chairman Y. V. Gupta today called on Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah and discussed various issues pertaining to the development of Jammu and growth of industry and trade in the State.
The issues which were discussed in the meeting included extension of central package of initiatives to Jammu and Kashmir industry, extension of income tax exemption, road connecting warehouse to Beli Charana to Kunjwani, General Bus Stand, construction of flyovers, sub-ways, development of Jammu Airport as an International Airport, cleanliness of Ranbir Canal and establishment of new warehouse.
The JCCI welcomed the installation of traffic signal system in Jammu city and requested for its further strengthening and expansion.
A deputation of Associated Chamber of Traders Federation (ACTFJ) led by its Chairman, Yash Pal Gupta in its meeting with the Chief Minister highlighted issues relating to the development of trade and commerce in the State.
Minster for Industries and Commerce, S. S. Slathia, Advisor to the Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul and Political Advisor to the Chief Minister, Devender Singh Rana were present in the meeting.
