JAMMU, Oct 6: Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) of State Government employees has urged upon the Government to regularize the agitating PHE daily wagers, ITI trained and CP workers without any more delay.
Addressing a joint press conference here today, senior JCC members Ganesh Khajuria, Balwinder Singh and Dharminder Singh fully supported the cause of PHE daily wagers, ITI trained and CP workers and said that Government is committing violation of agreement. They pointed out that during agreement with JCC on 15-9-2011, the Government had agreed to regularize daily wagers/ contractual and adhoc workers besides removing pay anomalies of the clerical cadre besides providing budgetary support to PSUs.
It is matter of great surprise that Government breached the trust and has not honoured its commitment. They said that PHE workers’ issue is genuine and justified and they should be regularized. They are not being paid their wages regularly by the authorities. They warned the Government to shun its  policy of exploitation and victimization, otherwise,  all other employees will be forced to come out openly in support of  these workers who are on the path of agitation and protesting by removing their upper clothes. This is the issue of great embarrassment and shame for the Government. But no body in the present regime seems to be bothered and they all are connected with their chairs and enjoying power. They are unable to see anything around in the lust of power.
These leaders stressed upon the Government to frame a clear policy for the PHE, ITI Trained and all other casual or contractual employees and temporary teachers and release wages of all the temporary workers. They also demanded removal of pay anomalies of clerical cadre, provide additional budgetary support to all PSUs, enhance Medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month in favour of employees and pensioners, provision of uniform bank interest in case of personal loans at par with J&K Bank employees as for GP Fund they provide just 8.5 % interest while for PCL they are charging 14.5 %  interest on loan from the employees. They also demanded implementation of Medi-claim policy in favour of  Non-Gazetted employees and release of 6 % DA due from July 2015.
