JCC sponsored State wide protest on May 23

JAMMU, May 16: The employees of various State Government Departments and Public Sector Undertakings will hold protest demonstration at all the districts headquarters under the banner of Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) on May 23.
Talking to media-persons here today, senior JCC member Mohd Gafoor Dar said that in Jammu province various factions of Employees Joint Action Committee (EJAC), headed by Khurshed Alam, Mr Wani and others will jointly mobilize the employees of various departments under the banner of JCC for seeking support for May 23, 2013 protest programme. After protest demonstration memoranda will be submitted to the Deputy Commissioners of all the districts.
Mr Dar further disclosed that in Jammu the employees will assemble near Panama Chowk and move towards Divisional Commissioner’s office at Rail Head complex. The employees will stage protest demonstration in support of their pending demands and there after, a delegation of JCC members will submit a memorandum to the Government though Divisional Commissioner.
He claimed that pending demands of the employees including enhancement of retirement age, removal of pay anomalies, framing regularization policy etc have been projected in the memorandum. The JCC will chalk out next course of action on the same day. Senior JCC members Jaswant Singh, Moulvi Muneer Ahmed, Amrik Singh and others were also present.
