UDHAMPUR, Dec 23: Sleuths of Divisional Forest Office Udhampur seized a JCB while digging forest area in Jagnoo area last night.
Official sources said that Forest officials at Udhampur received information that some people have engaged a JCB in digging forest area to construct a Kucha road near Jaganoo. On this, a Forest team led by Range Officer, Mahesh Abrol, under the supervision of DFO Udhampur, Rushal Garg rushed to the spot and seized the JCB bearing registration No. HP54D-0370.
The confiscation proceedings under Section 52 of the Indian Forest Act, 1927 were initiated in this regard. This is the fifth such seizure by Udhampur Forest Division during this month, DFO Udhampur Garg said.
