RAMBAN, Dec 29: A JCB machine operator was killed during execution work of four laning of Jammu-Srinagar national highway near Cafeteria Morh here.
As per police sources, a JCB machine operator was engaged in execution work of four laning of Jammu-Srinagar national highway near Cafeteria Morh when mud slide came in the machine got trapped under the debris. Click here to watch video
On getting information, police team rushed to the spot and started rescue operation.
After hectic efforts, the JCB machine operator was retrieved from the debris and shifted to District Hospital Ramban, where doctors declared him as brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Chail Singh, son of Ambarnath of village Ind, Gool, District Ramban.
After completing medical and legal formalities, the body of the deceased has been handed over to family members for last rites.
Ramban police has taken cognizance in this regard.
