SAMBA, Nov 11: Samba police seized six vehicles including a JCB, a dumper and four tractor-trolleys during the last 24 hours which were being used for illegal mining and transportation of the construction materials in district Samba.
Acting on reliable information, regarding illegal mining and transportation of construction material (sand) from Basantar river bed near village Dhora, Samba, a Police team led by DySP DAR, Samba Chabbil Singh Bhau rushed to the spot and seized a JCB and a dumper bearing Registration Number JK21C-6061 and JK02CJ-4277 respectively for illegal mining of construction material from said area.
In another incident, a police party of PS Samba led by SHO, Rajesh Jasrotia while performing patrolling duty in its jurisdictional area , seized two tractors found transporting the construction material (sand) without any permission. The Registration Number of one of the tractors seized is JK21B-1276 whereas the other tractor was without Registered Number.
Similarly, a police team of PS Ramgarh led by SHO PS Ramgarh, IP Singh while performing patrolling duty seized two tractors bearing Registration. Number JK02T-7143 & other was without Registration Number for illegally transporting of construction material (sand) from Devak river bed near village Keso Manhasan, Ramgarh.
The cases of all the six vehicles intercepted/seized by Samba police have been handed over to Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further action.
