JAMMU, June 7: Aam Aadmi Party today demanded Duggar satellite channel and amendments in J&K Film Policy.
Addressing a press conference, AAP leader Jayesh Gupta said that the people of Jammu division (Dogra people) has been demanding for the Duggar satellite channel for so many years and their demands are not given any importance at all from the administration and Government side.
He said Dogri language comes in the 8th schedule and whichever language comes in the 8th schedule that language has been given the satellite channel except the Dogri language. Gupta said that people of Jammu division and actors, technicians, directors and producers approached the administration and Government several times and also protested numerous times for the Duggar satellite channel but all their efforts went in vain.
The AAP leader said that the Dogra community, which played a key role in the victory of BJP MPs from both the Lok Sabha seats of Jammu division, is being ignored deliberately. He said the AAP will fight tooth and nail for getting full-fledged Duggar satellite channel and amendments in J&K Film Policy.
