JAMMU, June 25: A jawan was found dead under mysterious circumstances in tehsil Akhnoor. However, Army has ordered Court of Inquiry (CoI) into the incident.
As per police sources, an Army jawan namely Pathan Mohammd Sharief Khan, a resident of Ahmedabad, Gujarat and posted at 18 Cav/10 Div was found dead under mysterious circumstances in unit line in general area Akhnoor.
The body has been shifted to hospital, where after completing legal formalities, it will be handed over to family members for last rites.
A Court of Inquiry (CoI) has been ordered by Army, while police has registered a case in this regard and investigation started.
