KATHUA Oct 5: As part of the massive development programme initiated by the State Government, BJP MLA from Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia today inaugurated link road at Nagrota Mohalla Jogian in presence of Kamdi Mandal Pardhan, Kulwant Singh, City Mandal Pardhan Vidya Sagar, Sarpanch Kamal, Roshan Naib Sarpanch, Ashwani, Randhir, Anil, Dr. Romesh besides other prominent citizens of the area. Interacting with people, Jasrotia said that his ultimate goal is to develop all the localities of Kathua Constituency with all the basic facilities.
Listing the developmental works completed in the constituency, the MLA said that the localities which lacked all the basic facilities could today boast of concrete roads, lanes and proper drainage, besides adequate supply of safe drinking water and power supply. Maintaining that emancipation of the suppressed sections is the prime objective of the government, he said, it is for the first time that the social welfare schemes, earlier found only on the files are now being implemented on the ground. He said thousands of BPL families and destitute are today getting subsidized and free ration.
Jasrotia said that with the completion of these link roads, the people of adjoining areas would also be benefitted. He said that it was the long pending demand of the people of the area which has been fulfilled. He said that Coalition Government was making all out efforts to connect every nook and corner of the State with nearest district headquarter by providing adequate road connectivity. He said that Government is fully aware of problems being faced by the people and soon the people would witness a sea change in the development scenario of the State.
He said that Government has registered unprecedented development during its tenure so far with expansion of improved basic amenities in the State and emphasis on unattended parts. MLA assured the people that all their genuine demands and development needs would be fulfilled in a phased manner. He said Government has launched various schemes to upgrade the living standards of the poor lot of urban pockets in the State. He called upon the poor to avail the benefits of schemes.
