Jasrotia asks political parties to stop playing politics over Kashmir

KATHUA, Sept 4: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader and MLA Kathua, Rajiv Jasrotia today urged political parties to cease from playing politics over Kashmir and play their positive role to bring peace and normalcy in Valley.
“Our Government has got the Kashmir ‘problem’ in legacy, and the Government honestly wants its solution for lasting peace and tranquility. The way Kashmiri youth are being misguided and the way the Congress has been doing politics over it for the past 69 years, we will request to Congress not to play politics over Kashmir,” he said.
“The Congress must take a lesson from the past and stop doing politics over Kashmir. If anybody tries to play with the national security, our Government will deal with him sternly,” he added.
“He suggested Pakistan to take a lesson from the past and stay within her limits, while warning that if it looked at Jammu and Kashmir with ulterior motive, Pakistan would have to face serious consequences. One thing is clear that Modi Government will not sit quietly amid provocations from Pakistan, and that it will not hold back from taking a harder line when the need arises,” Jasrotia said.
India will categorically reclaim its writ over Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir, no longer tolerate interference in matters internal and intrinsic to India’s sovereignty, rebuff Pakistan’s efforts of whitewashing cross-border terrorism and most significantly, expose globally its gross human rights violations, brutalities and untold atrocities in Balochistan and PoK, Jasrotia maintained.
“There was a time when the country was being governed without any sense of direction. There was uncertainty and lack of purpose. Now we have a Government with a determined leadership, nationalist policies and progressive governance,” he added.
