JAMMU, Oct 22: Advocate Jasmeet Kour Pandey has been appointed as the president of PDP Mahila Wing District Jammu.
The order in this regard was issued by Vijaya Dogra Katoch, President, Mahila Wing J&K Peoples Democratic Party after approval of Party President and Chief Minister Ms Mehbooba Mufti.
Advocate Pandey, a well known jurist, educationist and social worker is presently also the elected Carporator of Cantonment Board, Jammu. She also has the distinction of being awarded a certificate of merit and appreciation for 45 exemplary works by former Defence Minister of India Manohar Parikar at Corporators meet in New Delhi.
She has won wide acclaim for her initiative for spreading literacy and cleanliness under the Swacch Bharat Abhiyan Mission Done under her NGO “Jammu and Kashmir Women for Justice and Right”
Her appointment has been widely hailed in the party and Jammu region.
The people of the Jammu hope that she will strengthen the party at grassroots level.
