TOKYO, May 16: Japan’s industrial output rose 0.9 percent in March, revised data showed on Thursday, suggesting factory production is poised for a moderate recovery as export demand picks up.
The figure compared with an initial reading of a 0.2 percent increase and followed a 0.6 percent increase in February.
The capacity utilisation index fell 0.8 percent in March from a month earlier to 85.9.
