JAMMU, May 1: In a prompt action, Janipur police recovered 2 kidnapped minor girls and arrested the accused with 24 hours.
As per police sources, family members of two minor girls lodged a complaint with police station Janipur that their daughters aged around 13 years went missing under suspicious circumstances yesterday.
Acting on the complaint, police team from Janipur police station launched a manhunt to trace the minors.
On some specific information, police team recovered the minors from a hideout and arrested a person for kidnapping them. The accused has been identified as Arjun Singh, son of Suram Singh, a resident of Paloura.
The girls were handed over to family members after completing legal formalities.
A case under FIR number 92/15 under Section 363 RPC has been registered at Janipur police station and investigation started.
Police team led by SHO Janipur police station Inspector Ajit Singh made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO West Sandeep Choudhary, SP City Shiv Kumar Singh Chouhan and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
