JAMMU, May 1: A Flower Show as well as a Bhajan Competition was organized today at MHAC School, Nagbani.
Almost 800 students from classes 7th to 12th participated in fresh flower arrangement, Ikebana, Floral Basket, Floral miniature, Bouquets, Dry flower arrangement and Floral Carpet. A mass participation of more than 150 entries was there in floral carpets which perfumed the MHAC campus.
Pinki Jamwal and Sudesh Sharma judged the entries for Classes IX –XII while Anita Jamwal and Lalita Manhas were the judges for the group VII and VIII.
In Fresh Flower arrangement, Komal Sharma from Senior Group (XI, XII), Ravansh and Vaidurya from Pre-Senior B (IX, X) and Dhairya, Nishal and Archita Mahajan from Pre-Senior A (VII, VIII) bagged first position.
In Dry Flower arrangement, Priya Chib and Shikha Sharma from Senior Group (XI, XII) and Tanvi Rajput from Pre-Senior B (IX,X) bagged first position.
In Bouquet, Himanshu Sharma from Pre-Senior A (VII, VIII) bagged first position while in Basket, Jahnvi Sharma from Pre-Senior B (IX, X) bagged first position.
In Floral Carpet, Aditi Sharma and Mohd Hussain from Senior Group (XI, XII), Chetan and Urgan from Pre-Senior B (IX, X) and Shivani Manhas and Isha Jamwal from Pre-Senior A (VII, VIII) bagged first position.
In Miniature, Samriti from Senior Group (XI, XII), Vardan Saproo from Pre-Senior B (IX, X) and Deepika Gupta and Arpit from Pre-Senior A (VII, VIII) bagged first position.
In Bhajan competition which was organized for class 5th and 6th, Shreya Dalia (6th) bagged first position while Manik Shivgotra and Amogh Thusoo won second position.
