Janak Raj Gupta’s brother passes away

JAMMU, Feb 13: Saneh Gupta, younger brother of former Congress MP Janak Raj Gupta passed away after severe heart attack early today.
He was 67 and is survived by wife, a son and daughter.
According to family sources Mr Saneh complained of severe chest pain at around 3.30 am and was rushed to Govt Medical College Hospital, Bakshi Nagar, Jammu where he breathed his last at around 4 am. His cremation took place at Jogi Gate Cremation Ground, at the Tawi bank at around 5 pm.
A large number of people from all walks of life including former Union Minister and MP Ghulam Nabi Azad, MLA Ghulam Mohd Saroori, MLA Mumtaz Khan, DGP K Rajindra, ADG SM Sahai, former DyCM Tara Chand, ex-Minister Raman Bhalla, several bureaucrats, former Ministers and legislators attended the funeral of Saneh Gupta.
Meanwhile, PCC chief Prof Saif-ud-din Soz expressed grief over the untimely demise of Saneh Gupta. In a condolence message Prof Soz has conveyed his heartfelt condolences  to Janak Raj Gupta and the members of  the bereaved family. Mr Azad who arrived here from New Delhi straight way went to the house of Mr Gupta at Gandhi Nagar and then attended his funeral. District Congress Committee urban has also condoled the death of late Gupta.
Officers and employees of State Information Department under the chairmanship of Director, Mukhtar -ul-Aziz held a  meeting here and condoled the death of former Editor-in-Chief of Himalayan Mail, English Daily, Saneh Gupta. They also observed 2-minute silence and prayed for the peace to the eternal soul.
