Janak, Pandita, Bhandari campaign for Azad

UDHAMPUR, Apr 14: Senior Congress leader and former MP Janak Raj Gupta and PCC secretary Hira Lal Pandita held election meetings at Jagano Udhampur and Ward 17 today in support of party candidate for Kathua-Doda Lok Sabha seat Ghulam Nabi Azad.
Addressing the meeting Janak Raj Gupta highlighted the achievements of the three year’s rule of Mr Azad in the State saying that many welfare schemes and projects for the development of State were taken up in hand during this period.
He said a work culture was established in the State and State was put on the path of development. He said creation of new districts and tehsils was also a great achievement of his rule.
H L Pandita while appealing people to vote for Mr Azad termed him a messiah for the people of the State who worked for equal development of all three regions. He said people can’t forget his contribution like opening of five medical colleges and two cancer institutions in the State besides sanctioning special schemes under health sector for J&K.
He said Mr Azad is a truly secular leader and construction of Jagti township and other TRTs was his brain child.
Baldev Sharma, Divender Sharma, Shakeel Shah, Brij Mohan, T K Prashar, Parvez Akhtar and Ashwani Khajuria also addressed the meeting.
Meanwhile Shamsher Singh Bhandari former JKYC secretary held a door to door campaign in Kishtwar today to seek vote for Mr Azad whom he termed a great leader. He said the creation of two new districts in erstwhile Doda district was his great contribution for the welfare of people of this hilly belt.
Farooq Ahmed Tapal, Tilak Raj Sharma, Ghulam Hassan Shah, Shabir Lone and others also campaigned for Mr Azad
