TATA Steel NZ Sub Junior, Feeder Tour begins today

JAMMU, Apr 14: North India’s top amateurs, including those from Jammu and Kashmir State will tee off at the Sidhra Golf Club when the third tournament of TATA Steel North Zone Sub Junior and Feeder Tour will begins on Tuesday morning. Managed by “Ultimate Golf” the tournament will last for two days in which over one hundred players from North India will participate.
According to tournament director, Sandeep Verma, children of all age groups from Delhi, NCR, Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, UP and Jammu and Kashmir States have already arrived here and are practicing in the greens. Top junior players of the North Zone will display their Golfing skills tomorrow at the tournament.
A good number of junior girls and boys will be seen in action along with the cream of the country’s talent tomorrow morning in Jammu. This is for the first time that Jammu will be hosting such a big event of national repute. A total of about one hundred golfers will be vying for honours.
Meanwhile, the golfers got themselves enrolled today and would be playing their matches tomorrow. Apart from the laurels, the winners stand to gain crucial rankings and a chance to win TATA Steel North Zone Sub Junior and Feeder Tour Cup. Sandeep Verma, an ace coach and Director of the tournament said that Jammu has become favourite destination of golfers and in days to come more such events could be expected here as well.
