POONCH, Jan 29: A National Conference deputation headed by Youth National Conference (YNC) provincial president, Ajaz Jan, today called upon District Development Commissioner (DDC) Poonch, TA Zargar, and apprised him of large scale problems faced by people across the area.
The deputation was having people from different areas of Poonch. While interacting with DDC Poonch, Jan informed that in last one week he was on tour of different villages of the area where people apprised him of problems prevailing on the field.
During this meeting, members of deputation put forth a demand of alternate land for people living on zero line on Line of Control and International Border from Poonch to Kathua. They also apprised DDC Poonch about severe water crisis prevailing in entire Poonch and demanded four additional water tankers as the single tanker is not adequate to cater to the need.
Jan also discussed the matter related to construction of bunkers in border areas and said that authorities have constructed only two bunkers for thousands of people and funds for construction haven’t been issued yet.
The DDC Poonch gave patient hearing to all the issues and assured to look after the same.
Prominent among those who accompanied the YNC president were Ex Sarpanch, Illayas Malik, Ex Sarpanch, Manzoor Mire, Ex Sarpanch, Ch Saleem Khari, Ex Sarpanch, Isahiq Khan, Ex Sarpanch, Khalil Lone and Ex Sarpanch, Bashir Naik.
