JAMMU, Sept 7: A committee comprising under Jan Jagran and Jan Sampark Abhiyan members of BJP including JMC Mayor, Chander Mohan Gupta, Narayan Singh from Rajput Sabha, S. H.S. Pummy and other members met with Justice G.D. Sharma (retd.) Jugde of J&K High Court and discussed in detail about the annulment of Article 370 and 35A from the J&K State.
They said with its annulment, various communities like Balmiki Samaj, West Pakistani Refugees, Gorkha Samaj, Gujjar Samaj and others who were suffering a lot and were deprived of justice for decades together of their due share will get benefit and also enjoy equal rights in J&K as are enjoyed by all citizens of India throughout the country. Their generations suffered for the last 70 years and they were exploited by the various political parties who have ruled in the State for their vested interest, they added.
Retd. Justice Sharma appreciated the initiative taken by the present Government of India for scrapping of Article 370 and 35A. He said with its annulment more and more employment will be generated for the unemployed youth of the State and all the communities of the State will get benefit from various laws and different Centrally sponsored schemes which were not got implemented due to Article 370 in the State in near future.
