Kishtwar, Feb 7: Working Journalist Association Kishtwar (WJAK) today held elections for different posts of the Association, with all members showing enthusiasm in the nomination process.
The meeting was presided over by the outgoing president of the Association Shekh Nasir Hussain who explained the aims and objectives of the Association and also welcomed new members.
After due processes of nomination of office bearers, senior journalist Balbir Jamwal has been elected unanimously as president, Ajay Shan as senior vice president, Mushtaq Ahmed Dev and Nazir Ahmed Dar as vice presidents, Journalist Rajesh Chander Sharma as general secretary, Manisha Sharma, Zulafqar Ali Rather and Asif Butt as secretaries, Deepak Sharma, Muntasir Giri, Babar Farooq, Sourabh Rathore and Imran Shah as joint secretaries, Arif Munshi as cashier, Touseef Kripak as office secretary, Wasim Butt, Sumit Sharma (Monu) and Sheetal Sharma as publicity secretaries, Kuldeep Sharma and Sheikh Nasir Hussain as Legal Advisors.
It is pertinent to mention here that the working journalist association Kishtwar was formed in 2007.
