Jammu Welfare Organization holds interactive session with Wattal

JAMMU, Sept 29: Jammu Welfare Organization Unit Enclave, Roop Nagar, Bantalab , held an interactive session with Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Jammu, Kiran Wattal at Roop Nagar, today in which activists of the Organization along with local residents participated.
A team of officers belonging to different wings of Corporation listened to the grievances of the inhabitants of the locality. While addressing the gathering, Kasturi Lal Gupta, president rued insanitation conditions in the area and utter darkness in the area because of non-functioning of street lights over a year.
A charter of demands was submitted to the visiting dignitary. Others who addressed the gathering included B.L. Bhatt, chief advisor, unit presidents , Ashok Kapoor, P.L. Raina, Kuldeep Sachdeva, Raj Kumar Khatri, Ashok Sharma, B.S. Guleria, Chander Uppal, Roshan Lal Bhat, Varinder Gupta, Shubham Walli, B.L. Goja, Satish Ganjoo, Kishore Shangloo and Sandesh Bali.
Kiran Wattal, Commissioner, JMC gave a patient hearing to the problems of the gathering and assured them that their grievances will be mitigated shortly and speedy action on issues raised will be taken. He will also take up the issues involving finances with the higher authorities. He further urged the residents to adhere to rules while constructing or repairing their houses. Any violation will be viewed seriously, for which he sought cooperation of the Organisation.
