Jammu traders will not entertain customers without mask

JAMMU, Aug 28: In order to curb the COVID-19 pandemic, traders in Jammu have decided not to sell goods to any customer who comes to their shop without wearing a mask.
The vital decision came today in a meeting chaired by Rattan Lal Gupta, president of Traders Federation Ware House-Nehru Market.
Speaking in the meeting, Federation General Secretary, Deepak Gupta said, in the past few weeks there has been a record increase in Corona cases in Jammu district and many steps are being taken by the administration to control the pandemic but as a responsible citizen, it is also the duty of businessmen to cooperate in this regard.
“In such a situation, every shopkeeper must make sure that they wear mask themselves and make it mandatory for their employees as well,” he said.
Deepak Gupta said, if every businessman ensures that every customer who comes to his shop, comes wearing a mask, it will help in prevention of Corona. Representatives of various organizations present in the meeting unanimously supported the proposal and decided that they would not give goods to customers coming without masks.
