Jammu set to host 69th NSG in Taekwondo, Table Tennis from Nov 9

JAMMU, Oct 12: After the successful conduct of the 69th National School Games (NSG) in U-19 Boys Football and with the Wushu Championship scheduled later this month in Srinagar, the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS), J&K, is preparing to host the 69th NSG in Taekwondo and Table Tennis in Jammu from November 9.
Under the leadership of Anuradha Gupta, Director General, Youth Services and Sports, comprehensive preparations are underway to ensure a smooth and flawless event. To review the arrangements, Vinakshi Koul, Joint Director, Youth Services and Sports Jammu and Organising Secretary of the Games, chaired a meeting attended by Megha Baogia, Deputy Director (Planning/Activities) and Convener of the Accommodation and Mess Committees, Shivnandan Singh Mankotia, Section Officer, and conveners of other key committees.
The officers were directed to execute their responsibilities with utmost dedication, ensuring all aspects-accommodation, food, transport, medical facilities and hospitality-are managed professionally.
All committees were asked to strive for perfection and set new benchmarks for national school-level competitions in J&K. It is pertinent to mention here that around 250 teams with over 4000 athletes from across the country will participate in the four disciplines hosted by Jammu & Kashmir this season.
