JAMMU, Apr 28: A seminar on first aid was organized by Jammu police in collaboration with Amandeep Hospital and Clinics, Amritsar at District Police Lines (DPL) here today.
In the seminar, SSP Jammu Uttam Chand, SP Headquarters Jammu Randheer Singh and DySP DAR DPL, Jammu alongwith Officers and Officials of District Police Jammu and Traffic Police, Jammu took part.
The resource persons were Dr Mandeep Singh, Senior Paramedic Avtar Singh and Co-Ordinator Akash Sharma from Amandeep Hospital Amritsar, who gave a detailed presentation on the procedures and the sequence wise steps which needs to be adopted while tackling such injured person particularly due to accidents.
Dr Amandeep Kaur, Medical Director, Amandeep Hospital sensitized the police officers and jawans that Jammu and Kashmir is a terrorist affected State as also quake and accident prone area.
She said these first aid seminars are being organized in schools and colleges and police personal on the eve of eighth anniversary of Amandeep Multi-Specialty Clinic. Already these first aid trainings have been conducted in one school in Kathua, two schools in Bari Brahmana, Science College Jammu and Police Department in Jammu from last two days, Dr Kaur informed.
During the deliberations, experts interacted with the participants and provided some specific tips for any such circumstances.
While speaking on the occasion, Uttam Chand, SSP Jammu maintained that Jammu Police is committed to have better relation with general public, for which all efforts are being made in the shape of such seminars to provide necessary knowledge to the officers and officials regarding how to save precious lives due to accident menace from the society. He impressed upon the participants to follow the tips/procedures presented by experts in effective manners so as to ensure 100 per cent life safety and work towards helping the accidental victims and saving the precious lives and contribute to this pious cause.
Randheer Singh, SP Headquarters Jammu also shared his views and experiences and emphasized upon them to adopt all the procedures presented by experts at ground level.
