The one fact that has emerged from AIIMS controversy is that the political parties or politicians hailing from Jammu Division are not on the same page when it comes to seek interests of Jammu.
The diverse nature of political parties has proved detrimental to the Jammu cause, and consequently beneficial for Kashmir Division. Whichever party from Jammu region has tasted the levers of power, has betrayed the Jammu people. When in the opposition, BJP went hammer and tongs against the Congress for not serving the interests of Jammu region. Now when BJP is on power pedestal, the Cong accuses it of not doing anything for Jammu people.
These political parties just want to protect their interest, and not the interests of those who elected them to corridors of power. Hope these politicians will learn a lesson or two to protect the interests of this region which has always been discriminated on one ground or the other.
