Jammu didn’t get benefit after abrogation of Art 370: Lal Singh

KATHUA, Nov 17: Dogra Swabhimaan Sangahtan Party (DSSP) chairman and former MP Choudhary Lal Singh today said that after abrogation of Article 370, Jammu didn’t get a single benefit and instead got toll plazas, termination of youngsters from Government jobs and draconian laws.
The former MP was speaking at a function organized to pay tribute to Brigadier Rajinder Singh, in his native village Baghuna. While paying tributes to Brig Rajinder Singh, Lal Singh said that it’s the time for all Dogras of the erstwhile state to unite under one banner and fight for the cause of Jammu province.
Lal Singh, while lambasting the present regime, said that the people of Jammu are the worst sufferers of the present poilices of the Government and fear psychosis caused by bureaucracy.
He also warned the people of National parties who are exploiting the gullible masses and now the Gupkar Alliance which is trying to hoodwink the innocent voters. “Dogras are the real warriors and have given their blood and sweat for this Dogra land and vowed to fight for the dignity of Dogras till the last breath and last drop of the blood,” he added.
Lal Singh appealed the people of the area to support the candidates of DSSP. He informed that party candidate Paramvir Singh is contesting from Vijaypur A and Ram Mohd from Bhalwal Block.
Meanwhile, Dr Hari Dutt Shishu, general secretary of the party released the list of the candidates for the first two phases of DDC election. As per the list, ex-MLA Kanta Andotra will contest from Keediya Gandyal (Kathua), Rishab from Panchari, Maya Devi from Chenani, Sachan Singh Charak from Bhaderwah East, Pritam Singh Kotwal from Bhaderwah West Mohd Arif from Thuroo block (Reasi), Gulzar Ahamad from Mahore A, Ram Naresh from Mahanpur, Satish from Bilawar, Romesh from Basholi and Panjab Singh from Rajgarg (Ramban).
