JAMMU, June 25: Shiv Sena, Bala Saheb Thackeray Jammu and Kashmir unit has demanded development, employment and political justice for Jammu.
Responding to the all-party meeting with the Prime Minister, Shiv Sena president UT J&K , Manish Sahni said that state status and restoration of democracy do not matter to us until justice is done in the Assembly seats in Jammu division.
Sahni said that the main reason for discrimination with Jammu division is less number of Assembly seats in Jammu region than Kashmir while the population and area of Jammu is even more than Kashmir.
He said the Central Government has constituted the Delimitation Commission, but the number of seats to increase has already been decided. Despite all the seats added to the Jammu division not reach the same level as Kashmir. This is the main reason why the demand for separate status for Jammu is increasing, he added.
