Jammu based outfits warn Govt to deport Rohingyas or face agitation

JAMMU, Mar 15: While several organizations held protest demonstrations against settlement of  Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in Jammu today, Shri Ram Sena State unit alleged  that the area in Bathindi  where these illegal immigrants  attacked media persons a day before yesterday, actually belongs to a prominent BJP worker who has rented his land to these Rohingyas and Bangla-deshies.
Addressing media persons, here today,  Shri Ram Sena State president Rajiv Mahajan demanded strong action against  all those who are involved in settling Rohingyas and Bangladeshies in Jammu at the cost of security and safety of Jammuites for petty gains.
He further alleged that pressure was  being built on Police to withdraw FIRs/ dilute action against Rohingyas and Bangladeshies involved in attack on media persons at Trikuta Nagar Police Station. He warned the authorities that if the FIRs is withdrawn or partially revoked, it will be strongly protested and if the situation takes an ugly shape, Government  will be responsible for the same.
Mahajan also served an ultimatum to both Union and State Govts to make sure the deporting of  Rohingyas and Bangladeshies from Jammu by 1st May and warned that if the Govts fail to do so, Jammu Dogras  would launch an  agitation, which will be more aggressive  than the nature of Bam Bam Bhole agitation.
Meanwhile,  workers of Dogra Front and Shiv Sena, under the leadership of president  Ashok Gupta,  took out a protest in Jammu city against the Bangladeshis and Rohingyas.
While addressing the gathering, Ashok Gupta termed these illegal immigrants as security threat and said that the Rohingyas had managed to procure Adhar cards, ration cards, free water connections while their children were  seeking admissions in Government schools on the basis of fake documents.
Gupta said that the incident of  attack on media persons by the Rohingyas and their supporters was a danger sign  and the State must book the accused persons under the Public Safety Act as such type of elements are threat to the peaceful society of the Jammu as well as to the national security.
Others, who addressed the protest demonstration, included Suresh, Bantu, Geeta, Lal Singh, Nikku, Ram Paul, Naresh, Birbal, Kimti and  Abhishek.
At Bhalwal, a large number of locals also took out a strong protest march against the settlement of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis in Jammu. Led by Chanchal Singh, social activist and custodian of  Peer Baba Ali Badshah, a number of locals assembled at Ratti Burn Chapri and held a demonstration.
Shouting slogans for the ousting these Rohingyas and Bangladeshis, these people were carrying National flags.
While addressing the gathering, Chanchal Singh warned the Government that if these illegally settled Rohingyas and Bangladeshis were not immediately thrown out of the State, Jammu people would launch a massive agitation. He termed these illegal immigrants as a security threat to the State and the Nation.
