JAKFED employees demand adjustment against vacant posts, release of salaries

JAMMU, July 29: JAKFED employees here today staged a protest demonstration demanding their adjustment against the available vacant posts in government departments and release of their 11 months salaries.
In a handout these employees stated that JAKFED being an apex federation controlled by the J&K Government had 167 employees and presently 90 out of these are on deputation to other government departments while the remaining 77 are in the service of JAKFED.
The protesters informed that the deputed 90 employees are getting their salaries every month.
They quoted State Administration Council to say that the Council had ordered to wind up JAKFED on 13-6-2019 and GAD also ordered the same thing in September last year.
The protesting employees claimed that they are not getting their salaries for the last 11 months since September last year while their colleagues who were adjusted in other departments and also those who were on deputation in other departments are getting regular salaries and also benefits of seventh pay commission.
Demanding the release of their 11 months salaries they said that even the PM Modi has issued directions to all the departments to not stop the salaries of the employees as the nation is already passing through the tough situation due to Coronavirus.
