Jain, Samoon visit SMVD Nursing College & Narayana Hospital

KAKRYAL, Feb 9: The Vice Chancellor of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University Prof Sanjeev Jain and Commissioner Secretary, Higher Education Department of J&K, Dr Asgar Hassan Samoon, visited Shri Mata Vaishno Devi College of Nursing at Kakryal today.
They interacted with the teaching faculty, staff and the students and lauded the Shrine Board for making available all the required facilities for providing education in the discipline of nursing to the students of highest standard.
They appreciated the efforts of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board for setting up a College of Nursing of excellence. They also appreciated the infrastructure of the college such as enriched library, advanced laboratories etc
Dr (Brig) Man Mohan Harjai, Administrator, SMVD College of Nursing, appraised Prof Jain and Dr Samoon about the facilities made available by the Shrine Board to facilitate the nursing education of the students. They had a round of high tech laboratories, well stocked library with facilities of internet and online journals and smart class rooms. Principal of SMVDCoN, Dr Shailla Cainne was also present on the occasion.
Later, Prof Jain and Dr Samoon also visited Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Narayana Superspeciality Hospital, Kakryal. During their visit Dr Harjai, Chief Administrative Officer of the Hospital, appraised them about the State of art diagnostic and treatment facilities available at this 230 bedded tertiary care superspeciality Hospital.
