Jammu, Aug 9: The Jammu and Kashmir High Court has designated Advocate General Jahangir Iqbal Ganai as Senior Advocate.
In exercise of the powers vested under Section 16(2) of the Advocates Act, 1961, the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir is pleased to designate Jahangir Iqbal Ganai Advocate of High Court of Jammu and Kashmir as senior Advocate with effect from July 31, 2015 subject to the terms and conditions as laid down by the Advocates Act 1961, reads a notification issued by Registrar General of J&K High Court.
As per rules, High Court on being satisfied that the advocate has attained the position of eminence at the bar , possesses ability , legal acumen and has been assisting the court in Administration of Justice,maintaining the high ethical standards , both inside and outside the court, designates the person as a Senior Advocate.
