JAMMU, Aug 12: The Jagti inmates have expressed grave concern over the prevailing water scarcity in the township and urged the Relief Organizations to take immediate steps in solving the same.
The Jagti Co-ordination Committee (JCC) general secretary Dilip Pandita said that water and power scarcity has added to the woes of camp inmates. He also criticized the Government for delaying the construction of hospital in the camp and demanded its speedy completion.
In another meeting All Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AMCCC) while expressing concern over water and power crisis in the camp has urged the authorities to take immediate steps in solving the problem. It also demanded immediate completion of work on hospital. Both the organizations strongly condemned the police lathi charge on the youth in the camp today who were protesting against the Kishtwar violence in the township.
