Jagti inmates’ concern over bike thefts

JAMMU, Sept 12: The inmates of Jagti have expressed grave concern over the increasing bike thefts in the township and said that during last one month two bikes were stolen during night hours which were parked near the residential blocks by unknown bike lifters.
They said besides, the thefts have also taken place in some blocks and the police has failed to nab the gang involved in it.
The inmates and Panun Kashmir activists of Jagti including Pinto Ji, Ajay Bhat and P L Thuso have demanded that police force be deployed for maintaining a constant vigil in Jagti and entry of suspected elements should not be allowed in the township.
They also made an appeal to Government that the entire township be fenced so that suspected elements entry can be stopped in the township besides, compound walling be also given round the quarters.
They further made an appeal to Relief Organisation to release the cash relief for the month of August immediately to relief holders as the same has not been paid till date.
They also expressed concern over denial of sugar quota to migrant relief holders and demanded that the same be released without any delay.
