Jagti inmates’ concern over lack of medicare facilities in hospital

JAMMU, Feb 22: The Jagti township inmates have expressed serious concern over the lack of proper medicare facilities in the Jagti hospital and alleged that the Government does not have the will to run this hospital properly as the authorities of Health Department lack proper attention towards the same.
In a statement Pradesh Congress Committee Migrant Cell convener, Shadi Lal Pandita and its co-convener Ghulam Qadir Bhat said that the patients going for treatment in the hospital face problem due to shortage of doctors and other staff besides lack of medicines especially life saving drugs.
They said that huge amount was spent on the construction of this Hospital and funds for the medicines etc are debited to relief and despite that the facilities are not provided in the Hospital which is a cause of concern.
Wani also demanded that the Government should permanently post the doctors in the Hospital and ensure it functions round the clock so that the patients in emergency are not forced to rush the GMC or other hospitals in Jammu.
He said that the migrant doctors be permanently posted in the hospital which caters to over 10,000 population of the camp but the casual approach of the Health Department has become a cause of concern.
